Writing unblocked

Well, I've decided to take up writing again. Let's see how it goes. I've certainly been reading and listening to some of the best books I've ever read or listened to lately. It's all part of a plan I've had to get my mind geared up to create something amazing, and start writing again. It's actually worked! Lately, I have been writing. Nothing spectacular or anything; I'm really just going through the motions right now writing lyric and whatnot, but I'm starting to see a difference in my life again. My dreams are becoming stranger and my streams of creativity are becoming more frequent and poignant.  I don't know if my grammar is back where it used to be or my vocabulary is up to par yet, but I'll get there eventually.

Some people use depression as a creative weapon. I however, find it hard to write in those times. My happiest moments in life have been the times where I've been most creative. The creativity is coming back and it's exciting; it really is. I've made some very interesting music and artwork and it's been opening the floodgates of creation. That along with, not playing video games and reading a whole lot more.

I was watching an interview with one of my favorite singers the other day; he reminds me of myself. He said that he can't just sit down and expect to have something to write; it comes in spurts. He also expressed, when asked about writer's block, that he's been in the game long enough to know it's not really gone. The funny thing is, I felt that way. I really thought, I've written the best I could and had nothing else to offer; but, like I said, "the floodgates of creation" are opening wider and wider and I have now what I think is a pretty good book idea.

Now, I've written a book before, but I haven't been published. My first book is pure genius but I'm not sure it's entirely marketable right now. One day I want to work on that title more and it's sequels, prequel, spin-offs; whatever, but this new idea is entirely different, and I think it's very marketable too. It came to me at work today, while I was listening to "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens.  I'm not ready to reveal it's plot in heavy detail but it's exciting for sure. I have created the basic layout of the story in my head and have started to write out a act-by-act plan of  the book using a little website that may interest some. It's a story web creation tool, check it out! Here's a link:  bubbl.us

At any rate, I'm happy to be writing again...ugh it's 4 A.M. I should got to bed.
